These dimsums were good in flavour but due to some unforeseen circumstances in the kitchen that day, these dimsums couldn’t be filled properly and were a little overcooked.

Drool Over North Indian Food #Sponsored

shutterstock_310379780

North Indian cuisine is a very important part of Indian cuisine, from the regions of North India, which includes a major part of India, covering states like: Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Rajasthan, Uttarakhand, Delhi and West-Central Uttar Pradesh (Awadh and Braj).

There are a number of variations in North Indian cuisine depending on the region and its background like: Awadhi, Bihari, Bhojpuri, Kumauni, Cuisine of Kashmir, Mughlai, Punjabi, Rajasthani and Cuisine of Uttar Pradesh. Out of all these cuisines, there are a few dishes that are common amongst the people of all regions. A certain dishes have been listed or chosen as comfort food or favourites, if I say so.

Delhi has its own North Indian specialties and Butter Chicken happens to be one of them. You get this particular dish almost everywhere and with all these places making their version of Butter Chicken, it makes all the more fascinating to try it. But some restaurants remain an all time favourites like Moti Mahal Deluxe.

Butter Chicken or murgh makhani is an Indian dish which has its roots in Punjab cuisine. It’s a dish of chicken in mildly spiced curry sauce. Apparently this dish was developed by Moti Mahal restaurant in Delhi.

Moti Mahal is a chain of restaurants with over 120 franchises in India and around the world. Moti Mahal waa founded in 1920 in Peshawar, Pakistan. It was the first to introduce tandoori cuisine, butter chicken and dal makhani to the world.

The story of Moti Mahal dates back to c. 1920 when Mokha Singh Lamba started a small eatery in Peshawar, Pakistan. Kundan Lal Jaggi worked for Mokha Singh in Peshawar, Pakistan. Moti Mahal was the first to dig up a tandoor right in the middle of the eatery and since then Peshawar was introduced to the culinary art of tandoori chicken by them. This was a success and soon there was in demand for Tandoori at social gatherings and wedding feasts where they would use an improvised tandoor.

Being a Delhite and a true foodie I happen to have foodpanda App in my phone for those last minute food cravings and I can vouch for the delivery and quality of food prepared by Moti Mahal, especially their Butter Chicken. The quality is not compromised and so is the quantity. Both the things are maintained in the delivery and you will feel as good as eating in their restaurant.

foodpanda has made it too easy for all the foodies to get their favourite dishes at their doorsteps without being afraid of the quality or other such factors.  foodpanda Cuisine Festival has a lot more to offer. Log in and explore flavours and facts about your favourite dishes.

So, Rajouri Garden which has array of restaurants, yet again floored us with its newest offering called The Westside Story, located in the heart of West Delhi. In an extraordinary warm day which calls for a nice refreshing drink, Virgin Cucumber Mojito was a perfect treat. Lemon and fresh mint give this pretty green non-alcoholic punch a mojito flavor. The cucumber lends this drink a beautiful fresh scent and taste. Next came, the Som tom which is a spicy papaya salad that will light your taste buds on fire. This fiery little salad is one of Thailand’s best known culinary export but it didn’t taste right here for me.

Moving on to the appetizers, Chinese Button Mushroom was crispy and had a sweet tangy taste, while on the other hand, salty Crispy American Corn tossed with assorted peppers and chilies features an outburst of crunch and flavor. Crunchy Cheesy Broccoli served with chili mayonnaise was again delicious. Cheese creates a flavorful blanket for these crispy broccoli bites that are the perfect side on. Following the starters, was the perfect Indian snack, Karare Dahi Ke Kebab, which is an infusion of hung curd with indain spices. A must try for vegetarians.

Coming to the mains, the highlight of the lunch was the ‘Mushroom Rarah Pizza’. With the blend of makhani sauce it had a very Indian taste and is now one of my favorite. I judged this amalgamation success and enjoyed every bite. Burmese curry with Steamed Rice was authentically done and had the divine flavors of coconut milk, caramelized onions and fried garlic. Paneer Rogangosh is a good option with garlic or traditional naan that was up to the snuff and delicious.

Overall, the food is delicious, the freshness of the ingredients and the superior skills of the chef shine through in every dish and the décor and ambience are inimitable!

How Peppertap can be useful in your day to day life

PepperTap-logo

So one fine day I planned to make this dish and realized that I didn’t have enough material at home n worse I had no time to go out and buy stuff, thanks to Peppertap app in my phone, this problem got sorted.

I quickly opened my phone and ordered all the products within minutes rather seconds and in another 15minutes I had all the required material at my door step. Not just the material came on time but also the products were fresh and neatly packed. Just like this, another day I was at a friend’s house and she wouldn’t get this particular shampoo and I suggested her to try on this app and voila! She found it on Peppertap and it saved her time as well since she didn’t have to go out to especially buy a shampoo.

With an app like this half of my grocery problems have been solved, especially for the days when there are guests coming and you have to go out for buying veggies but then you won’t get the fresh ones or they are finished already. This app turns out to be a savior.

And not just me, even my mother swears by the efficiency of the app and people behind it. While making cake one day she found out that her cocoa powder had expired and the nearby store didn’t have it as well, she called me up and asked what to do and that is when I introduced her to this magical thing. She instantly downloaded the app and decided to order it. And within few minutes her problem was solved and all thanks to the lovely people of this app.

I must say, apps like these are a blessing in disguise. Not only for the people who are working and stay alone but also for a normal everyday household.
