The Irish House, Fort (Mumbai)

On my recent trip to Mumbai I planned to visit the much talked about place of the city “The Irish House”. The restaurant chain has 5 outlets in the city lower parel, andheri west, Fort, Bandra Kurla complex and Malad West (Opening soon).

The Irish House situated in the Fort or Kala ghoda area is near the Rhythm House on the Second floor. The building is an old British architecture with wooden flooring and a typical American style restaurant. The staff is friendly and speak with an American accent. This one particular outlet is much spacious than the rest of 4.

We ordered a ‘Bouquet of Fries” & “Chicken Popcorn” along with Hoegaarden Draught beer for 2.

Chicken popcorns- This might sound a lil weird since you easily get these in KFC but trust me these were far better than the ones you get over there. Scrumptious, mouth watering and soft well mixed with herbs. This one is a safe bet too.

Bouquet of Fries- a mix of potato wedges and french fries, served with three type of dips and well mixed with spices these are perfect for munching along with the beer in the day time or early evening.

Hoegaarden draught beer-  Every Beer lover knows about this particular beer which is served with a slice of orange or lime in it.

A meal for two would cost you anything between Rs 2500-3000.
Parking space is available just outside the restaurant but considering the Mumbai traffic travelling by a taxi or train is preferable.

Another highlight of this place is the Beer quotes/ Wallpapers/ Photographs framed and used for decorating the wall. It also explains the Huge variety of Beers and other alcohol served here. You will get almost everything on the menu and the ones who love Tap beers can try alot of them here.

If next time you happen to visit them again, do try out their Nachos. They are among one of the best in town.
